Europe Goes Local is a long-term cooperation within the Erasmus+ Youth program to support youth work at the municipal level.
The municipal policies are highlighted in Europe Goes Local, where the National Agency Erasmus + Youth in Action (AN) is attending the presence of representatives of the municipalities of Braga, Cascais, Odemira, Portimão and Santa Maria da Feira.
Work began in Ljubljana, Slovenia, with more than 150 participants from youth and municipalities.
This is an opportunity to present the best projects that have been developed by the City Councils throughout the country. This is the case of the 100% Youth City bracarense that promises to target several European cities for young people; Or Young Autarch, an inspiring project of Santa Maria da Feira and supported by AN that strengthens young participation in political life, giving them the opportunity to play the role of spokesperson for other young people and at the same time manage a budget for ideal projects.
Between 2017 and 2019, in Europe Goes Local will discuss the main challenges of the work of municipalities related to young people. The European perspective serves as a backdrop for a project that includes conferences and workshops involving heads of more than 20 countries.
